Our overnight dog boarding features 4 foot x 5 sliding glass door safe rooms to sleep in after they play the day away with their doggie friends. The main play yard features rubber floors, K-9 Grass and light therapy that turns a soggy Seattle day into a sunny social setting. Every dog enjoys a day of supervised play activities such as ball, Frisbee®, bubbles, follow the leader and tons of lovin. Dogs pack naturally in our well thought out, supervised areas. Lucky staff keeps the facility clean at all times during the day, plus we perform a thorough cleaning every evening 365 days a year!

Lucky Dog has 18 Large Dog (or multiple dog) Safe Room Kennels; these are actual 4×5 rooms constructed with walls covered in FRP ® (fiberglass reinforced plastic) and sliding (safety) glass doors. The Safe Room Kennels were constructed to safely house high-stress dogs and to prevent them from injuring themselves. Only during peak times, such as major holidays, will we use other kennels or request that you bring your own.

Boarding Requirements

Boarding is open for dogs who:

  • Are dog friendly and pass an evaluation period of about 5 hours
  • Are spayed/neutered
  • Remain current on DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies vaccinations
  • Have an negative Giardia parasite test every 6 months

If your dog has not been to Lucky Dog in over 6 months. we recommend (but do not require) that he/she come in for a day of daycare shortly before the overnight stay to reintroduce your dog and reduce his/her stress when being dropped off for boarding. Sundays are a nice slow day to do. Our long running daycare special rate is a full day for a half day price! Just $18.

Pricing

Overnight Rate:
Boarding is $40.00 for over-night. You can drop off your dog anytime during the day of drop off and check out is BY NOON on the day of checkout. ($5.00 off each additional dog).

Late Checkout:
If you need a “late checkout” there is a late check-out fee of $18.00 and you can then pick up your dog any time before we close. ($5.00 off each additional dog).

Boarding Package:
Pre-purchase a 14 night package at a 10% discount.

Holiday Boarding Policy:
(For Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas)
HOLIDAY DEPOSIT: There is a $100.00 non-refundable/non-transferable holiday deposit required before booking boarding reservations.  Reservations must be confirmed and a deposit paid (a minimum of 21 days before the holiday) to hold your spot. This deposit is applied towards your final bill at check out. However, if you need to cancel or shorten your reservation after the deposit is paid, there is NO REFUND/NO TRANSFER – YOU FORFEIT THE DEPOSIT. **Please note We book up and turn customers away on busy holiday weekends based on your reservations.

HOLIDAY SURCHARGE: A holiday surcharge of $5 dollars per night is added to each day your dog/s will be staying overnight with us during our 5 night “holiday period”. You are only charged for the nights that your dog/s boards; there is a $25 maximum charged per customer.  **Please note these surcharges go into a BONUS pool for the employees who worked during the holiday to take good care of your dogs during this BUSY holiday weekend.

We need to get some paperwork from your vet (proof of: neuter/spay, vaccinations listed above as well as a negative fecal float test no more than 6 months ago).  You can have the vet fax over the vac’s to 206-783-1676.

Download and fill out our Contract and Pet Profile – both need to be filled out and signed.

We will have your dog attend an Evaluation Period (4-5 hours long) to make sure s/he does well in our Open Daycare enviorment.  We usually schedule two per day; one in the morning and one in the afternoon.  There is a $20.00 non-refundable, non-transferable fee for the evaluation.

Once we have the paperwork together and you have paid the evaluation fee, we can then schedule an evaluation period.
