Lots of folks ask how I keep track of the dogs we take to the park. The answer is complex in some ways. First, I didn’t just pick up 11 strange dogs. We have a relationship and most dogs pack naturally. I also use headcounts at certain times and I strive to be the center of attention. Much like a sheep herder, I keep the pack away from dangerous owners and possible negative situations. I never use treats as most dogs are well fed in the good ol’ USA. Rather I use adventure and purpose… Imagine being unemployed for years and someone asks you to work for them, that is how I want my pack to feel… wanted.
